Snowshoe trip with a campfire

See beautiful arctic Tromsø from a different perspective and hear about the ways of living of local people.

When you think the time cannot be any better, speed down the hill on toboggan and find yourself playing in the snow like a child again.

While taking a break from playing in the snow you can get warm by the campfire prepared by our guide (you are welcome to help!) and listen to stories about Tromsø, northern lights, Arctic nature, local history and everyday life in our city.

We welcome everyone, also families with children, who would like to try snowshoeing (following your guide through the night landscape), tobogganing, and relaxing by a campfire – no prior experience and preparations are needed. We provide all sports equipment and your guide is with you at all times.

If you arrive earlier than in April check out our other activities Guided snowshoe trip on Tromsøya and Guided snowshoe hill hike.

As the weather can change rapidly in Northern Norway to join this tour it is obligatory to wear warm and windproof clothes and winter boots above the ankle. Winter clothes and boots are not included in the price of the tour, but can be rented separately at our rental center upon prior arrangement.

Included: Snowshoes, poles, toboggans, hot drink, lefse (local snack), guide and transfer (5 min each way).

Duration: 3 hours

Meeting location: The ground floor in Prostneset terminal in the waiting hall (address: Samuel Arnesens gate 5, Prostneset, Tromsø)

Departure and meeting time (10 min. before departure):

  • 2:30 pm (2:20 pm) - Occasionally departure on this trip may be earlier or later than scheduled depending on Hurtigruten/Havila arrival
