Hi, I'm Evi, and I am from Ghent, Belgium. Just like last winter, I will be working part-time at Tromsø Outdoor Rental Center.

My passion for the outdoors runs deep. In 2022 I thru-hiked the Pacific Crest Trail from Mexico to Canada, an experience that changed the direction of my life. My goal is to connect more people with the outdoors. Therefore, I created a little website where I share things about hiking and other outdoor adventures (www.setting-north.com). Besides that, I work as an independent contractor for AllTrails and have worked as an outdoor guide, ski instructor, and researcher (I have a degree in biology). I am looking forward to the start of the winter season in Tromsø and am excited to go on adventures and meet new people. My favourite quote is the classic 'Happiness is only real when shared' (Christopher McCandless) since I always found the people the most important part of adventuring.
